Nowadays in many countries load shedding is one of the big issues and many people use inverters / UPS for emergency electric power supply. And nowadays when we start an electrical project wiring, we also do the inverter wiring or ups wiring connection. Because this is the necessity of time. For this, I start new tutorials diagram series which is about inverter/UPS instillation diagrams.
In this post, I will show you how can you wire or install an emergency power inverter/UPS for a single room or for an office.
If you miss our last post about inverters and batteries then also take a look at these post links.
UPS & Inverter Wiring Diagram For One Room / Office
In the below diagram I have shown inverter wiring which is controlled by a double pole MCB circuit breaker, For room inverter wiring we use only line (Phase) wire from the inverter and we use neutral from the direct supply which is provided by the electric supply company. Are we can say that in ups (uninterruptible power supply) wiring neutral wire is common. However, we always consider N-neutral wire as common for each path of the circuit.
So come to UPS/inverter wiring diagram, I controlled UPS/inverter from 2 pole circuit breaker and I also get a neutral wire from the circuit breaker for room electrical devices/equipment. I get Phase / Line wire supply from inverter/UPS for the room as I showed in the below diagram.
I know that the above ups diagram is too simple and anybody can understand it easily, however, let’s explain step by step. Wiring an inverter is too simple, in the above diagram I wired and controlled the UPS/inverter by a double pole circuit breaker or I can say that I install a circuit breaker between the electric supply and the inverter/UPS (uninterruptible power supply). After that, I take neutral wire for room/office wiring from the MCB breaker and I connect it to all electric devices/appliances with a one-one point or terminal e.g example outlets/sockets, ceiling fans, energy saver light bulbs or bulb sockets. After that step, I take the phase wire supply from UPS/inverter as i have shown in the above diagram and then I connect the phase wire to switches as shown above.
I wired also a dimmer switch with ceiling fan wiring which is also too simple, So it’s simple in ups-wiring neutral is common and you can take it from the incoming electric supply or you can also take it from the inverter. But the above diagram method uses wiring if your appliances or not energizing or not working then take the phase wire supply from another side of the inverter outlet/socket (or change the direction of the output shoe) or change your input voltage wire in the circuit breaker.
I hope now you will totally be understood however there are some more tips full post which help you very much and which are related to this article.
