We use voltmeters to measure the voltage or electrical potential difference between two points of an electric circuit, and mostly we wire it to our main board or main circuit breaker board. In this post, you will learn,” how to wire a voltmeter“. To start talking about the voltmeter or voltage meter wiring first we will learn about some basic thing which is very important.
What is Voltage?
The force which flows the electron in a conductor is called voltage, it is denoted by “V” and its unit is volt.
Types of Voltmeters:
There are two types of voltmeters Analog and Digital.
The analog voltmeter has moving a pointer which shows the range of voltage in a circuit.
The digital voltmeter gave us a numerical display of voltage.

How to wire a Voltmeter?
This is very simple to wire the voltmeter, just like we wire a lame holder, the voltmeter has two terminals just like a lame holder, to wire connect the electric supply wire to both terminals as shown in the below diagram.
In the above voltmeter wiring diagram, I have shown a voltmeter with an electric supply and as I wire the voltmeter same you can wire and do it the same just like I have shown in the above diagram, however, soon I will upload a practical example which will help you very much. In the above voltmeter wiring diagram, I showed the voltmeter symbol which can help you in incoming articles.
