Method of Wiring Lights in Series Diagram

The wiring lights in series is the best connection for a better understanding of series circuits, from which an electrical student completely learns. Today in this post i am going to write about,”how to wire lights in series“. In this circuit, I shall talk about voltage and current in a series circuit.

What is Series Circuit?

The series circuit is a circuit in which we connect resistors in one line just like electric better cells. In a series circuit current (Ampere) will be the same in each part of the circuit and the voltage will be different. Another example of a series circuit is a circuit where we plus resistors, for example, we connect two 5 ohm Ω resistors then our complete resistance will be 10 Ω. OR, a Series circuit is a circuit which has only one path from the source through all load, OR the series CKT is a circuit that has only one way for completing the circuit.

Voltage And Ampere In Series Circuit :

In a series circuit, the voltage will be different at every point and the current (Amps) will be the same. The below example image of wiring light bulbs in series is for your better understanding. In the below series diagram, I show three light bulbs in which if you test the receiving voltage then you will find that each bulb has received a different voltage and if you check the current Ampere in all points of the circuit you will find that consummation amps is same.

How to Do Wiring Lights in Series :

Requirements :

Light bulbs : 3 bulbs
AC supply: 220 volts
Electric Cables

Method Of Wiring Lights In Series

First of all, connect the all light bulbs in series as shown in the below image and diagram. In the below image + diagram, I have shown the bulbs on one side which I connect in series with the AC supply and on another side I have shown this circuit with bulb socket (Lamp Holder) symbols with neutral and phase wires.
