Fuse Box Explanation and Advantages of Fuse Box
This post is all about the fuse box and its importance in electrical wiring. In this post, we will discuss electrical fuse boxes and their working properties in electrical wiring. INSHALLAH, our next post will be about the fuses box wiring diagram. But in this post, we will only light up the importance of fuses.
What is Fuse Box?
A fuse is an electrical safety device which we use in electrical circuits to protect our electrical appliances from damage and burn. In simple words, a fuse in an electrical low-resistance device protects the electrical device from overcurrent or protects electrical wiring in case of a short circuit.
A fuse box is an electrical panel box where we wired all fuse for protection. Are we can say the circuit point where the fuses in the connection between the supply and circuit?
Note That a fuse will always contact in series between supply and load.
We can also call a circuit breaker box a type of F box because the circuit breaker is also a protection device which we wire for safety in electrical wiring.
How does A fuse work?
A fuse is a low-resistance electrical device which cut off the electric current flow in case of high or over current flowing. E.g example if a fuse is designed for a 5 amperes (A) load and the circuit starts getting a high current (ampere). When the current will increase from 5 ampere the resistance will heat up due to high current flow and due to heat the fuse burns and make an open circuit.
Advantages of Fuse and Fuse Box
There are a lot of advantages of electrical fuse boxes, of which some are below.
Fuse makes our electrical wiring or circuit protect.
We can find out electrical short circuits from a circuit easily.
We can test electrical wiring faults and problems easily.
We can do electrical work easily by switching off or plugging out fuses from a box.
We can control all electric power using a fuse panel box
We can replace the fuse easily in a small time. (Note that use those fuses which we can easily rewire or change).
